Implementing a management information system is important, in order to improve the performance of our company, by improving the quality of managerial decisions.

 

Data become information only when they are evaluated, filtered, condensed, analyzed, and organized in order to improve the decision making process.

 

 

Taking into account the importance of implementing a management information system and the mission in our company, we decide to use two main plataforms, one that is going to be a five star rating system, in wich our customers will have the possibility to rate the housekeepers or the baby sitters, with a short description. This system will be implementated with the purpose of having a feedback of our customers in order to improve the service, and also with the purpose of join all of our customers, so this way  they could help each other to find the right person to take care of their houses or children. This system will also help us and the customers to ensure safety and to make sure that our personnel is well trained.

 

 

• Quality Measure: with this system the general manager could find out what we have to change and ensure that our personnel is well trained.

• Staffing: the customers will have the opportunity to rate our personnel, and in cases some of our workers doesn’t have a good performance, the general manager will take the appropriate decisions.

 

The other plataform that we are going to use its going to be Excel, we choose this plataform because it is practical and offer many functions in only one program, this would help us to collect our data and summarize them in reports with tables, graphs, charts etc. This will help the general manager to answer important operating questions and therefore, make decisions.

 

 

• Accounting: Cash flow statement, income statement, or profit and loss statement.

• Budgeting: Create any type of budget — for example, a marketing budget plan, an event budget, or a retirement budget.

• Planning: Create professional plans or useful planners (weekly action plan, a marketing research plan, a year-end tax plan)
